Sunday - July 14

 Happy Birthday CONNOR!!!

Connor is 18 today and what a fine young man he's become - an avid golfer, hard worker, good student and obviously a good fisherman!!!
Very proud of this guy who will soon be off to college!

Paul and Kathy got their things packed, we put our stuff back on the boat that was stored in back of their car this week and off to breakfast at Windows on the Bay.    Another good meal for all.    We stopped at the Walton Market to get a deli sandwich and some salads for our travels.    They brought us back to Catrina and then it was time to say good bye (hate good byes).   We had so much fun with these dear friends the past 5 days!    Shared so many memories and made new ones.

Bye bye Kathy and Paul

They'll fly back to TX tomorrow.    We got diesel and a pump out at JP's Marina and then were on our way to Kingston,   First 5 miles were really choppy on the St. Lawrence cause of all the Sunday afternoon boat traffic.    But then a nice 30 miles and meandered thru a narrow passage of many buoys green on the left and red on the right + under 2 bridges.

We are in Kingston Mills just outside the 1st of 36 locks on the Rideau Canal we'll start tomorrow taking us from Kingston to Ottawa and then back.    We checked in with Customs, got our pass and paid the fees to go thru the Rideau ($380.50) and we'll get started tomorrow with the 1st 4 locks (flight).

Not sure we'll be on zoom tonight - weak internet connection here.   Bye for now
